J.S. Bach: Complete Organ Works, Vol VII

Volume VII of J.S. Bach complete organ works covers collections of great chorales (‘Schübler’, ‘Leipzig chorales) as well as the partitas and the Canonic Variations. Avoiding page turns definitely makes sense for Bach’s great chorales. With the large format, most of these pieces can be laid out on two facing pages. In partitas, short variations have intrinsically few page turning problems, but it is not the cases for longer variations, which are much more comfortable to play on two pages (see in BWV 768, 769, 770). For an overview of Bach’s complete organ works, check the Bach OrganScore Complete Edition Page.
