Mushroom substrate or casing is moisture retaining medium to mix with grain spawn when growing in containers, trays, totes or “monotubs”. This method is generally referred to as the “Bulk” method or “Monotub Method”. This is the most popular way to fruit your spawn bags or whole grain jars. We provide easy to follow instructions on how to use and create your bulk grow. The hardest part of this process is achieving the perfect ratios of substrate, casing and water. We’ve made it easy! Perfect for grain or dung loving mushrooms! Use the following amounts: 1 Spawn bag per 5 lb bag of casing mix (using our 5grain or Rye spawn bag) 6 Jars per 5 pound bag of casing mix (using our 1/2 pint substrate jars) 1 32oz Grain Jar per 5 lbs 2 24oz Grain Jars per 5 lbs Shelf life of up to 6 months!
